CHAPLAINCY

My first unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) was a requirement for rabbinical school, but as spiritual care is a passion area of mine, I have since chosen to continue my education. In March of 2021, I completed my fourth and final unit of chaplaincy training through Johns Hopkins Medicine Academic Division's Distance Learning Program, and in March 2022, I became a Board Certified Chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains.

CPE has strengthened my pastoral skills, which I use every day—not just while making hospital visits to congregants, but also while teaching, while preaching and most of all, while listening to my congregants at every moment.

Currently, I serve as a full-time Clinical Chaplain and the Manager of Spiritual Care at Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
