WOMEN OF THE WALL
During my HUC-JIR year in Israel,
I served as an intern for Women of the Wall, a multi-denominational, women's prayer-group that is striving for religious pluralism and equality in Israel.

I worked closely with Chairwoman Anat Hoffman, Director Lesley Sachs and Public Relations Coordinator Shira Purce.
Today, through speaking engagements, I continue to educate others about Women of the Wall and the struggle for religious pluralism in Israel.

The iCenter for Israel Education
"is the national hub and catalyst for building, shaping, and supporting the field of Israel education" (theicenter.org).

I received a Master's Concentration Certificate in Israel Education from the iCenter. For my capstone project, I created an educational video on Women of the Wall to teach about the struggle for religious pluralism and equality in Israel.

HaShomer HaChadash
"The New Guardian" : Volunteering on
Dromi Ranch, Israel
HaShomer HaChadash is a grassroots organization that "helps
farmers and ranchers in the Negev Desert and Galilee protect their land and livestock" (Jewish National Fund - UK). Many soldiers in the army reserve protect the farms from surrounding neighbors in conflict.

I volunteered on the ranch of Shai Dromi, whom the Dromi Law was named after. There, I learned about shepherd leadership, how to take care of the land, and how to nurture orphaned lambs until they are strong enough to stand.
